Mr. Jaxay Shah
(CHAIRPERSON, QCI)
Under his leadership, CREDAI joined the ‘National Mission of Housing for All’ by launching more than 375 Affordable Housing Projects comprising 250,000 units by CREDAI member developers across the country.
Mr Shah stands as an advisor and mentor at the PharmEasy Accelerator Program, which offers 1 lakh+ medicine and health products across various categories across the country. He is a Promotional Director of Kensville Golf and Country Club, Savvy Swaraaj Sports Academy, and a trustee of LAA (LD College of Engineering Alumni Association) as well as JYOT (NGO).
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geo-technology and Foundation Engineering from L.D. College of Engineering, Gujarat University.
Mr. Shah is an environment and sustainability crusader and is committed towards eco-friendly construction using renewable technology for a better planet.
Mr. Chakravarthy T. Kannan
Secretary General, (QCI)
Mr. Chakravarthy T. Kannan, Secretary General, Quality Council of India (QCI) , brings with him a distinguished career spanning leadership positions in the automotive and logistics sectors. He has led several key national organizations and global business expansion initiatives. With extensive experience as CEO of Mobility at Mahindra Logistics, where he successfully turned around complex B2B and B2C operations to achieve a positive PAT, Mr. Chakravarthy brings a wealth of expertise in strategic management and business transformation. He has also led several business transformations such as ‘Digital Product Development e-NPI’, ‘Quality Crusade’, ‘Geelantheid – a billion-dollar Global business setup’. As the founder of CATAPULT, an industry-first tech-based incubator, he has demonstrated a keen ability to drive innovation and accelerate user case maturation, earning recognition from industry giants like Shell and Intel.
His prior roles as Business Head and Senior VP at Mahindra & Mahindra have equipped him with strategic acumen and a proven track record of spearheading global business expansion initiatives and driving organizational growth.
With his rich sea of experience, coupled with an MBA in Corporate Strategy from Ross Business School and a background in Industrial Engineering, Mr. Chakravarthy is poised to lead QCI towards new heights of excellence and innovation in quality standards
Dr. Manish Pande
Director & Head, PADD, QCI
Dr. Manish Pande is presently the Director & Head of Project Analysis and Documentation Division (PAD Division) at Quality Council of India (QCI), an independent autonomous body set up by Government of India. A sustainability practitioner in leadership roles for over two decades, Dr. Pande has been the first Chair of the multi-lateral NPIC Network of the UNFSS.
Dr. Pande has done his Doctorate from Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education. Furthermore, he has published numerous studies and papers in peer-reviewed journals, including UNCTAD Research Paper on India’s landscape with respect to voluntary standard. Prior to joining QCI in 2012, he has worked in SGS India Pvt. Ltd. as Head – Government and Forestry Services. He has been invited as speaker on many International Forums such as UNFSS, UNCTAD, T4SD, FAO and was also the visiting member, Conformity Assessment Committee (CACO), African Organization for Standardization (ARSO).
At QCI, he is leading flagship governmental and intergovernmental initiatives such as the India National Platform on Private Sustainability Standards, Design & Development of conformity assessment frameworks for schemes such as – UAS (Drones) for the DGCA, Medicinal Plants for the NMPB, HRAA for the FSSAI, ABS for the NBA, Cyber Security for the NCIIPC, ONDC, Yoga Certification for the (MoAY) and is the nodal for National GLP Compliance Monitoring Authority – NGCMA. He is empanelled as expert member of various technical committees and working groups of Schemes that are run by the Government of India and its associate bodies namely, BIS, EPCH etc.
